1:1 Strength & Endurance Coaching

Bespoke coaching for everyday athletes training for extraordinary challenges.

About me

Coaching built on experience.

I’m Shea, a Strength & Endurance Coach helping everyday athletes prepare for big challenges without putting the rest of their lives on hold.

Sport has shaped most of my life and, over time, became my career. I’ve now spent more than a decade coaching within sport, working with people across different ages and abilities, before bringing that experience into one-to-one personal training and strength coaching.

I began competing in triathlon, cycling and cross-country as a child, before stepping away from endurance sport for a few years to focus on strength training. I soon returned, taking on my first Ironman at nineteen. Since then, I’ve trained for and completed a range of endurance events, coached myself to personal bests, and experienced the highs of memorable finish lines alongside the lows of injuries, underprepared races and plans that did not quite work out. Those experiences have taught me what effective training looks like in the real world — what works, what does not, and how to adapt when things do not go to plan.

Together, my years of coaching and my own experiences of training and racing have shaped the way I work today. I’ve learnt that every athlete is different, and that good coaching begins with understanding the person in front of you rather than forcing them into the same masterplan. My goal is to help people build strength and endurance, train consistently and chase ambitious goals without allowing training to take over their lives — building something a little more windswept and interesting along the way.

01

Simple

Strip away the noise. Master the fundamentals.

Training for strength and endurance at the same time can seem overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. By removing the guesswork and focusing on what matters most, my coaching philosophy centres around one simple idea: doing the basics exceptionally well. Consistency will always beat perfection, and together we’ll build a plan that helps you reach your goals without overcomplicating it.

02

Structured

Every session is another brick in the wall.

Strong foundations make ambitious goals achievable. Whether you’re preparing for your first HYROX, your next Ironman, or simply becoming stronger and fitter, every session has a purpose within the bigger picture. Together, we’ll build a programme that develops your strength and endurance concurrently, while leaving room for recovery, adaptation and the realities of everyday life.

03

Effective

Make every minute count.

Training for big goals shouldn’t mean putting the rest of your life on hold. I’ve been there — turning down social events because I “had to train” and missing time with friends and family just to squeeze in another session. It taught me an important lesson: for amateur athletes, effective training isn’t about doing more — it’s about making every session count. By combining a simple, structured approach with intelligent programming, we’ll get the most from the time you have, helping you achieve your goals without sacrificing everything else that matters.

FAQs

Who is this coaching for?

I work with people preparing for triathlon, IRONMAN, HYROX, running events and other strength-and-endurance challenges. That might mean a lifter taking on their first endurance event, an endurance athlete wanting to keep strength training, or someone looking for a more balanced way to do both.

Do I need to be an experienced athlete?

No. You do not need to be fast, highly experienced or already training at a certain level. Your programme will be built around where you are now, the goal you are working towards and the time you realistically have available.

Will I have to give up strength training to improve my endurance?

No. Balancing strength and endurance is central to my coaching. The aim is to develop both intelligently, rather than treating one as an inconvenience that gets in the way of the other.

How does the free consultation work?

Once you submit your details, I will send you a short consultation form before arranging an initial call. We will discuss your goals, training history, current routine and what you are looking for from a coach. It is also an opportunity to make sure we are a good fit before you decide anything.

Is the coaching completely online?

Yes. Your programme will be delivered through TrainingPeaks, with reviews, feedback and day-to-day communication handled through the Shea Kerry Coaching app and email. WhatsApp will also be available when necessary.

What happens when work or life gets in the way?

The plan changes. Training should be structured, but it should not be so rigid that one disrupted week causes everything to fall apart. We will adjust around changes to your schedule, fatigue, recovery and whatever else life throws at you.

How much time will I need to train?

That depends on your goal, experience and availability. I will be honest about what your goal requires, but your programme will be designed to make the best use of the time you have rather than filling every available hour with training.

What does the coaching cost?

The Total Coaching Package is £150 per month. This includes your bespoke programme, TrainingPeaks Premium, weekly reviews, programme adjustments, monthly coaching calls and ongoing support through the coaching app and email. Coaching is paid monthly and can be cancelled with 30 days’ notice. Once a new month of coaching has begun, payments are non-refundable, as your programme, reviews, adjustments and support are already under way.

What happens when your coach is on holiday?

Your £150 monthly fee is based on 48 active coaching weeks each year, spread evenly across 12 monthly payments. I may take up to four weeks of holiday during that period.

Your programme will be prepared in advance, but routine check-ins, feedback, programme changes and coaching calls will pause while I am away. Holiday dates will be shared in advance wherever possible.

The monthly fee remains the same, while you still receive the full 48 active coaching weeks included across the year.

Am I tied into a long contract?

No. Coaching runs on a monthly basis, with 30 days’ notice required to cancel. I would rather you continue because you can see the value in the coaching and feel supported while making meaningful progress, than because you are locked into a long agreement.

Do you provide nutrition coaching?

Nutrition support is available upon request and can be included within your coaching package at no extra cost. This can cover everyday nutrition, training fuelling, hydration, recovery and race preparation. I will not provide prescribed meal plans, diagnose medical conditions or offer clinical nutrition advice. Where your needs fall outside my scope, I will recommend that you speak with an appropriately qualified professional.

Can you coach me if I have an injury?

That depends on the injury and whether you have been cleared to train. I can adapt programming around limitations where appropriate, but I do not diagnose or treat injuries. Where necessary, I will ask you to work with a physiotherapist or another relevant healthcare professional.

What if my goal is not an IRONMAN or HYROX?

That is absolutely fine. I am happy to coach people preparing for a wide range of endurance and hybrid events, provided the goal falls within my experience and professional scope.
